Many DFS lineups flamed out last week as popular players largely put up surprisingly low fantasy points totals. That should prove an anomaly, however, and the status quo is likely to return in Week 11. Many players previously on the value list have seen their salaries increase due to solid performances, leaving us fewer options under $5,000 on DraftKings.
Here are five players to consider from the quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and tight end positions this week.
Joe Flacco, Jets QB ($5,000)
Sam Darnold will sit out again with an injured shoulder, so Flacco gets another start. Flacco put up a nice performance his last time out, going 18-of-25 for 262 yards and three touchdowns against the Patriots in Week 9. This week’s opponent, the Chargers, rank just 27th against opposing QBs in DFS so far in 2020.
Rex Burkhead, Patriots RB ($4,600)
Although Damien Harris is getting the bulk of the carries out of the Patriots backfield, Burkhead is used more as a pass-catching back, boosting his value on DraftKings. Last week, Burkhead got just six carries, but caught four of five targets for 35 yards and two touchdowns. He’s seeing the field more in goal-line situations, which obviously bodes well for his fantasy production.
Corey Davis, Titans WR ($4,800)
Davis has been Mr. Consistent from a DFS perspective, scoring double-digit fantasy points on DraftKings in all but one of the seven games he’s played, with an average of 14.5 DFS points per game. Davis has seen an average of seven targets per contest — nice volume for a wide receiver under $5,000 in salary in Week 11.
Jakeem Grant, Dolphins WR ($3,500)
After the Dolphins placed Preston Williams on injured reserve, Grant moved up to the No. 2 receiver role in Miami. Last week, with a salary of just $3,000, Grant caught four of five targets for 43 yards and a touchdown. He caught four of five targets the previous week, as well. Grant’s a great salary saver in Week 11 with the capability of hitting 3x his value relatively easily.
Mark Andrews, Ravens TE ($4,900)
In a fallow year for tight ends from a fantasy perspective, Andrews tops the Week 11 salary list on DraftKings at just $4,900. He may be worth paying up for as his stock is on the rise following a seven-catch, 61-yard performance against New England last week. Of note, Andrews hasn’t caught a touchdown pass since Week 5. That could change this Sunday against a Titans team that ranks in the NFL’s lower-tier against opposing tight ends in DFS.
