Spin the Wheel (or Bonus Spin) is one of the latest side bets to grow in popularity in Vegas. Mr Blackjack checks out the progressive payout and gameplay of this fun wager.
Spin-the-Wheel blackjack is a brand new side bet in blackjack.
It combines a progressive jackpot and electronic wheel placed on every blackjack table that offers this wager. I have seen it on Freemont Street in Vegas, and it's a fun side bet to make if you want to add some more excitement to the game.
To make this wager, you place a $1 chip in the circle in front of you. The dealer picks up the chips, and the light in front of you turns red to indicate you are in the bonus.
Casinos offer this wager to create more excitement and give the chance to win $5,000 from your $1 bet, which makes it irresistible.
If you get a blackjack, the dealer will hand you a button to press, which triggers the wheel to spin. Similar to Wheel of Fortune, the payouts on the wheel will go from $5 to $5,000. The progressive payout could be in the thousands.
You won’t get rich by betting an extra dollar per game, but it is exciting to watch that wheel go round.
I highly recommend this bet if you are a few friends sitting at the table looking for a good time.
