The early slate of DFS college football games features plenty of potential offensive firepower. While many will gravitate toward the Oklahoma-Baylor tilt, I see plenty of fantasy value among players with cheaper salaries in other contests.

Here are six players to consider this week.

Quarterbacks

Brock Purdy, Iowa State ($6,800 on DraftKings, $8,800 on FanDuel) – The Cyclones’ QB is an efficient player, consistently putting up good DFS numbers. He could have a breakout game this week against a Texas Tech defense that ranks just 224th in college football against opposing QBs in DFS.

Taulia Tagovailoa, Maryland ($5,900 on DK, $7,700 on FD) – It seems every time I play Tua’s little brother, I get burned, but I’m willing to stick my hand on the hot stove at least one more time. Tagovailoa is very cheap here, especially against the poor Michigan State defense. He also played well against Penn State last week.

Running backs

Kenneth Walker III, Michigan State ($8,900 on DK, $10,500 on FD) – Every week, Walker proves why he should be in strong consideration for the Heisman. He carried 23 times for 146 yards and a touchdown against Purdue last week, and shouldn’t see a drop-off against a Maryland team with a Swiss cheese run defense. This game is, in fact, very stackable this week.

Hassan Haskins, Michigan ($7,500 on DK, $8,200 on FD) – With Blake Corum injured and out for most of last week’s game against Indiana, Haskins poured on the stats, scoring 28.8 points on DraftKings. Corum is questionable in this week’s matchup with Penn State, so Haskins should get the bulk of the carries again.

Wide receivers

Rakim Jarrett, Maryland ($4,500 on DK, $6,500 on FD) – Jarrett is the most consistent pass-catcher for the Terrapins, but his price has been held down due to his lack of touchdowns over the past three weeks. He has, however, averaged five receptions and more than 70 yards receiving per game over that span. Jarrett makes for a cost-effective stack with Tagovailoa, allowing us to pay up at running back.

Charlie Kolar, Iowa State ($4,500 on DK, $6,500 on FD) – Like Jarrett, Kolar is a steady receiver, but his lack of touchdowns has hurt his fantasy numbers this year. Still, the tight end is a big target in the end zone for Brock Purdy, and variance might go his way this week against the Red Raiders.
